Our Pizza Dough
At KiaOra Pizza we believe in quality. Our pizza dough is made fresh and aged for at least 24 hours.
Dough that is shaped, and proofed after a slow cold fermentation demonstrates noticeably better flavour, texture, and structure.
KiaOra Pizza – Our Story
I have always had a passion for all things Masonry. Starting in 2008 I built my very first pizza oven in the backyard and was hooked! I then started building ovens for other people for a few years before building my first Trailer Oven in 2013.
My business partner Maxine Beaumont and I then went on to become the largest Mobile Wood-fired Pizza catering vendor in Tasmania, attend large and small festivals throughout Tasmania.
During this time we also expanded our catering for all sorts of private functions, such as weddings (lots of weddings), birthdays, business and Corporate, clubs and others.
I also decided to opened a Pizzeria in local Launceston for 3 years but have since closed the business to concentrate on the private market. I love making the Dough, and you wouldn’t believe how technical it is to get the best pizza base in Tassie!
